Why give?

  • 100% of the donations go directly towards the animals. Our staff consists of family members and volunteers who devote their time to care for our animals.

  • In 2024, approximately 5.8 million animals were taken in by shelters in the United States. We work directly with local shelters and rescues in the Sumter County surrounding area to alleviate overcrowding and reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals into our sanctuary when space allows.

  • Spaying and neutering pigs is crucial for a multitude of reasons including health, behavior, and the prevention of overpopulation.

We ensure that every animal in our care is fully vetted and altered (spayed or neutered), unless a specific medical condition prevents the procedure.

An average female pot bellied pig cost $600 to get spayed and a male is slightly less at around $400 to be neutered.

  • We utilize the land for our farm animals to graze, but for a nutritionally complete diet our pigs require pellets to sustain them. A 25lb bag of pig feed is around $18.

    And for our carnivores…
A case of mid-range cat food costs just over $25.

A 50-pound bag of a mid-range brand of dog food typically costs between $45 and $80.

  • We are committed to providing critical, life-saving support for animals in need of specialized care.

Harold Stargazer, a former stray pig who suffered debilitating injuries after being hit by a vehicle, is one such resident. Through a rigorous regimen of physical therapy and a structured medical plan, Harold has recovered remarkably and now lives a normal, healthy life.

  • Water is everything. We have wells on-site that provide clean drinking water for all of our residents. Clean troughs and buckets allow our animals to stay hydrated during the hottest months of Florida’s summer.

Did you know one stock tank is close to $100.

and hoses are just as vital with an average 100ft hose costing around $30.
